This is a digital portrait of a band from Texas, Khruangbin. With this piece, I tried to capture the awesome psychedelic energy of their live concert experience.

I started by drawing a preliminary pen and marker sketch (above). Once that was established, I gathered different reference photos from their live performances - compositing together individual photos of the band members. I had a lot of fun experimenting with exaggerated color intensity and using ripple effects to mimic sound waves throughout.
